Buying: How to buy at Applegate Auctions

Our Auctions are

  • A great way to get deals on beautiful art, antiques and items of virtue. 

Preview items for upcoming Auctions

We post photos of the upcoming items with descriptions and sizes on our website and we encourage you to come to our showroom to view the items in person. 

During your in person visit, you are welcome to pick up a catalog of items to be auctioned . The catalog will include item size, lot number and estimated prices.

Live auction attendees will be given a bid card to use for bidding

There are (4 ) ways to bid

  • In Person. Once you have your bid card in hand-the fun begins. Simply raise your hand to place your bid.
  • By Telephone. If you prefer to bid by phone we will call you before the items you are interested in come up for sale. We will relay bids to you so you can bid live.
  • Live online. If you prefer to bid online during the auction you can do so by logging into the link we provide with our online auction catalog . (Additional 5% buyers premium fee)
  • By Absentee bid. If you cannot attend in person you can leave an absentee bid with us prior to the sale by calling us at 346-310-0404 . We will bid up to your pre set limit on the items of interest and you will be called after the sale with the results. We can also accept written absentee bids in sealed envelopes prior to the sale. 

Pay and Pick Up

Payment is due upon purchase. We accept cash and credit cards. ( Visa, MC, Am Ex).

A buyers premium of 18% in house or 23% for online purchases, as well as any applicable taxes are added to the hammer price to make the final price. 

Purchased items can be picked up during, or following the auction. Or Monday - Friday between 10am - 4pm. 

Our staff can assist in loading small and mid sized items into your vehicle. Large and over sized items will need prior arrangement with your mover of choice.
